Although, Enlightenment principles are rooted in a large part of the world there is much to be learned about its value and importance. Each person needs to embrace enlightenment as their personal life goal. Thus, approaching new experiences with an open mind allows you to engage more meaningfully in each moment.Enlightenment and historyWestern philosophy, sociology and cultural teachings began including enlightenment in the eighteenth century and beyond to describe a more harmonious way of life. Thus, reason was advocated as the primary source and legitimacy for authority. It is commonly believed by historians that the signatories of the American Declaration of Independence, the United States Bill of Rights, the French Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizens, and the Polish Lithuanian Constitution were guided by 'Enlightenment' principles. |
