  • Gemini - The Twins - Gemini is the third Sign of the Zodiac, and those born under this Sign will be quick to tell you so.

  • The sign of the Snake (she) - People born in the year of the snake are usually intellectual, superstitious and have supernatural capabilities. They live dangerous lives full of thrill and intrigue.

  • The sign of the Horse (ma) - People born in the year of the horse tend to fall in and out of love. They are somewhat lively, impulsive and independant. They have a love of independence.

  • The sign of the Goat (yang) - People born in the year of the goat/sheep tend to take on the role of good samaritan. The goat is the most feminine of all the Chinese animal signs. This is the sign of greatest compassion and virtue.

  • The sign of the Monkey (hou) - People born in the year of the monkey tend to be good at mastering anything. They are successful and have a flexable character. But, they usually look for the easy way out which can flaw their lives.

  • The sign of the Rooster (ji) - People born in the year of the rooster are usually very dignified. Roosters come in two types : those who are somber and those who communicate well making them an enigma to other people.

  • The sign of the Ox (niu) - People born in the year of the Ox are generally calm, dependable, patient and unflagging. Without you the world would not be able to carry on.

  • The sign of the Pig (zhu) - People born in the year of the pig tend to be very brave. They are very patient, loyal and do not hold grudges. But, sometimes they are taken for granted which can cause them sorrow.
Chinese Elements - The Chinese elements add an extra layer of meaning to each of the Chinese animal signs. The Elements of Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth serve to put our basic "animal" characteristics in a clearer light.
