The moon like the other celestial bodies has an influence on us and our world. The moon pulls on the earth and the tides respond. The moon's influence on our lives is similar. It is believed that our moods and fortunes also ride on the spiritual tides of the moon. Thus we seek the answers to the mysteries of the moon and its phases.

Full Moon
Full Moon - The Moon's illuminated side is facing the Earth. The Moon appears to be completely illuminated by direct sunlight.
The FULL MOON phase is the FLOWER, the opening and blossoming, desiring to share this beauty with others. If you were born during a full moon phase, you enjoy the company of others and have the desire to merge deeply with a partner. Fulfillment, abundance, and illumination are your goals. The radiant full moon rises at sunset and sets at sunrise. She is visible all night long.

2nd Quarter Moon
Second Quarter - One-half of the Moon appears to be illuminated by direct sunlight. The fraction of the Moon's disk that is illuminated is increasing.
The FIRST QUARTER MOON phase (waxing half moon) is the GROWTH phase. Roots go deeper; the stem shoots up, and leaves form as she creates a new strong body. If you were born during the first quarter moon phase, you live a full life of much activity and excitement as old structures are cleared away to provide room for new developments. This half light and half dark moon is visible from when she rises around noon until she sets around midnight.

3rd Quarter Moon
Third Quarter - One-half of the Moon appears to be illuminated by direct sunlight. The fraction of the Moon's disk that is illuminated is decreasing.
The LAST QUARTER MOON (waning half moon) is the HARVEST when the plant gives her life so that others may continue theirs. If you were born during the last quarter moon phase, you assume different roles in life and wear many masks while balancing your internal and external worlds. This half dark and half light moon is visible in the sky from the time she rises around midnight until when she sets around noon.

New Moon
New Moon - The Moon's unilluminated side is facing the Earth. The Moon is not visible (except during a solar eclipse).
The NEW MOON phase is like a SEED planted in the earth. We cannot see her but she is ready to grow, full of potential and energy for her new journey. If you were born during the new moon phase, you are impulsive, passionate, instinctive, a risk taker, and a pioneer. The new moon rises at sunrise and sets at sunset. She is not visible in the sky.
